Abstract

Innovation is defined as the process of introducing meaningful and adding value changes to existing methods and established norms. It relies heavily on technological and scientific developments. At present obvious economic, climate, energy and social changes have made us rethink and evaluate our priorities and altered our needs; consequently architecture is also at a turning point searching for a new identity. Along with robotics and other technologies, 3d printing has received increasing attention in construction. The main goal of this paper is to explore the opportunities and understand the architectural design qualities of 3D printing technology as a sustainable tool in hotel design. As its ecological attributes and its variety of materials could be a promising solution for the future.
