Sustainable Mediterranean Construction
Proper planning and analysis of the various goals proposed by the United Nations in the 2030 Agenda would allow for a significant improvement in people’s lifestyles and the contemporary sustainability of cities. In particular, goal number 11 proposes to guarantee free and safe access of people to green areas; and it is in this direction that the research that we want to present in part moves. The use of geospatial data, focused on achieving representative spatial patterns, allows us to acquire the information necessary for analyzing the distribution of areas, in particular the vegetation cover within cities. This work focuses on the development of a methodology necessary to evaluate some of the indicators of sustainable cities, the minimum area of green areas in relation to the number of inhabitants and the distance of these from urbanized areas, which are the basis for supporting viable proposals concerning the safety and condition of urban routes that shape the city.
