CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES (NOT ONLY DIGITAL) AND ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT

In the present historical moment digital space has become increasingly diffused and significant for human activities, and architecture is not an exception: beyond the boundaries of sustainability, the digital reality can substitute the concrete and brutal construction;
even in the historical zones of urban and rural character, one of the solutions for achieving respectful, non-aggressive and temporary goals can be indeed identified with reversible and/or digital technologies.
As we know, “… the digital is everywhere; from the infrastructure we use to navigate the world to the objects we use to communicate.”¹
In the past centuries, the human race did not get a lot of knowledge, did not understand many processes and did not have any perception about eventual future impacts. Today, it is no longer possible ‘to bury one’s head under the sand like an ostrich.’
Science and political strategies show themselves active and effective in the tackle against the Climate Change (CC) and against global pollution: both knowledge and solutions are by now within any human-activity’s reach. If, on one hand, humans have been endangered by CC in a very severe way, given the disasters occurring very frequently all over the world in the cities and other anthropized regions, on the other hand other kinds and intensities of hazard (pollution of air, soil and water, high transformation of landscape and habitat conditions, etc.) actually impact strongly on the natural realm, ecosystems and living organisms.  […]
