Stone landscapes are areas where man’s centuries-long work of anthropisation has slowly and painstakingly taken hold. The naturalness of these landscapes is still evident in the construction of the fields, the supporting walls of the land, the small and large buildings. The stone landscapes have retained a real and high degree of naturalness. Despite the hardness, strength, solidity, and stability that we recognize in stone, these landscapes are fragile. Stone landscapes have fallen into oblivion, and regenerative policies need to be put in place to revitalize them and bring them back into the public domain. The Marocche landscape has been studied, a stretch of the Sarca Valley between the village of Dro, Lake Cavedine and Drena, where stone elements need to be networked to enhance and preserve the landscape. The narration of individual pieces that make up the territory is intended to promote their valorisation and, consequently, conservation. By uniting the different fragile stories of the stones, a synergic network can be defined that allows them to become an integral part of the local culture. The aim is to encourage intelligent and varied tourism that can appreciate and make full use of the peculiarities of each fragment, helping to preserve the identity and beauty of the area.
