Sustainable Mediterranean Construction
The Khettara is a millenary system for underground management, known in Morocco also with the term Targa in the Tmazight language, foggaras in Algeria and Qanâts in Iran. In the south of Morocco, which is famous for its rather hostile climatic context, the populations had settled around community water spots, which allowed the development of food harvest in green oasis, which presently represent a big resource of national tourism.
