Introduzione

It is a fact that electrification in Greece from 1889 until today has been based on the most important for the Greek economy energy fuel, lignite. As it is known, in thermal Power Plants, power is generated from various mineral raw materials (liquid, sold, gas) having as the intermediate energy, the thermal energy of high temperature. Minerals have embedded energy in chemical form, which is released through burning producing heat. Especially, Steam Power Plants are the most economical power generation units at large volume.
