The expected earth’s temperature augmentation, currently estimated +1.5°, encourages today the necessary implementation of all those strategies which allow the decrease of greenhouse gas emissions, main source of the global warming. In this context, the building envelope can play a fundamental role and significantly contributes in reaching the goal set by the 2030 Sustainable development agenda, including the decrease of energy consumption.
This study is inserted in this context and considers, in accordance with the possible changes of climate scenarios (+2 to +6°), the energy performances variations in different building envelopes, characterised by different technologies. In the work, carried out on a case study using BIM (REVIT) in order to evaluate the energy performances, it emerges how the technology variation can significantly contribute to the decrease of overall consumption, allowing to reduce energy consumption by up to 33%, in the case of an insulated envelope made with adobe earth blocks.
