Sustainable Mediterranean Construction
The contribution, sharing the logic of the circular approach applied to the built environment, aims to structure an operational methodology that allows to deepen the aspects concerning the multi-factor characterization of a building transformation intervention through the integration of data, by means of which to digitize the contents and support decisions aimed at achieving the control/reduction of induced ecological-environmental impacts. Through the application to a case study, whose design and technological choices were verified through Building Information Modelling (BIM) models, it was possible to conduct a series of reasoning on impacts to understand, in terms of opportunities, how BIM facilitated the process of evaluation and control of the urban transformation intervention by reducing its technological-environmental criticalities. All this was done by adopting the guidelines of “digital sobriety” as a principle of action.
