Abstract

Since the 1990s, the world knows significant transformations, particularly in the domains of sustainability and digitalization. In the current global context of rapidly characterized by the depletion of natural resources, rising energy prices, and the climate change crisis, there is an urgent need to significantly reduce the energy consumption levels of buildings. In France, the residential building sector, is responsible for nearly 30 % of total final energy consumption. A significant proportion of homes are energy inefficient. This problem can generate risks of fuel poverty. This phenomenon is correlated with the consistently increasing of energy price and the decline in household incomes. This article presents the integration of a series of data in a GIS tool in combination with a physically-based analysis, and discusses the results of applying this method to a vast territory. The objective is to realize a georeferenced atlas permitting to identify the possible energy savings and the risk of fuel poverty areas. The knowledge generated will make it possible to assess potential energy savings and precisely identify the priority areas affected by these problems in order to guide environmental policy measures.
