THE ARCHITECTURE OF BEING: A “BEST PRACTICE” TO REGENERATE THE TERRACED LANDSCAPE

An example of “best practice” for re-inhabiting the abandoned terraces of the Amalfi Coast. A complex program (Integrated Rural and Network Districts), aimed at the regeneration of territories, focused on the enhancement and recovery of local biodiversity as the only possible system to relaunch the economy of a specific environmental context and at the same time guarantee the maintenance of the characteristics dry stone walls. It is a cultural path of sustainability and awareness aimed at addressing existing problems, from climate change to hydrogeological instability, from land consumption to mobility and to what has emerged further following the Covid 19 pandemic.
The Architecture of Being is realized in that intrinsic programme period that connects the person with the environment, starting from the psycho-physical and spiritual well-being, as well as from one’s “habitat”, to then become the key and supporting element of a new programme period of cultural landscapes.
