Abstract

This study aims to foster the role of circular economy integration in businesses, emphasizing the crucial link between adopting circular practices and achieving economic, environmental, and social performance. It analyzes the role of circular economy integration in businesses, highlighting its potential to foster an awareness mindset regarding the interconnectedness of Earth’s systems and the inevitable consequences of negative impacts on various aspects of life. A questionnaire was completed by a sample of 70 participants in Kosovo. The analysis of the questionnaire responses revealed noteworthy findings regarding the impact of circular economy integration on firm performance. The research findings demonstrate a positive relationship between the opportunities for adopting circular economy practices and economic performance. Given these findings, it becomes crucial to establish a comprehensive framework encompassing legal, economic, technological, infrastructural, and educational elements to transform mentalities and cultures surrounding circular economy adoption. From a legal standpoint, policymakers should develop supportive regulations and incentives to encourage businesses to adopt circular practices.
