In the Mediterranean region, although a great number of different cultures and social evolutions are present, many common characters have been found in the citizens’ behaviour as well as in the landscape transformation, thus providing to the district itself a clear identity, now worldwide recognized. These different cultural items are investigated by various sectors of scientific and technological expertise, each one under the specific and well-‐aimed view point, with the intention of studying the dynamical occurrence of various phenomena connected with the anthropic development and life. So far the conventional issues of a Magazine have been those connected with the aforesaid peculiarities, and were meant at specializing the peculiar approach that this particular subject could provide to land transformation.
This new Magazine, the “Sustainable Mediterranean Construction: Land culture, research and technology”, would take fulfillment, instead, in proposing to the public a different view of the Construction world, which will include various scales of intervention and strategies, as well as create a connection between the various disciplines and professionals.
The aim will hence be that of actualizing the various approaches and of discovering the possible common ground for allowing the various knowledge to dialogue, providing a more sensitive language and more careful techniques of construction, which will reduce the disadvantages of a deep footprint and of serious impacts to both earth’s and man’s life.
